What we build
Iron gates
Driveway gates, walk gates, slide gates, and entry gates, built to the opening you actually have rather than the nearest stock size. Every one is measured on site before a single piece is cut.
Iron & wood gates
Steel frames with wood infill panels. The strength and clean lines of iron with the warmth of a wood fence, and the combination most people are surprised we make. Some of our best work.
Fences & railings
Ornamental iron fencing, stair rails, balcony rails, and porch rails. Built to measurements taken at your property, not ordered from a catalog and forced to fit.
Already have iron that needs fixing?
A gate that drags, a fence panel that got hit, a weld that cracked, rust coming through the finish. We repair iron we did not build.
Gate repair
Sagging gates, broken hinges, cracked welds, gates that will not latch or swing clean. We look at it, find what actually failed, and tell you honestly whether it is worth repairing or replacing.
Fence repair
Damaged sections, bent pickets, posts that have shifted, rust and finish failure. Welded back properly and refinished to match what is already there where we can.
Powder coated, never spray painted
Every piece we make gets powder coated. We do not spray paint iron and we do not take jobs where somebody wants us to.
The reason is simple. Spray paint sits on top of the metal as a film. Powder coat is applied dry and cured in an oven, so it bonds to the steel as one hard layer. Out in Bay Area weather, sprayed finishes fail at the welds and the edges first, and once water gets under the film the rust spreads beneath a coat that still looks fine from the street. Powder coat does not give it that opening.
It costs a little more up front. On a gate you will look at every day for the next twenty years, it is not the place to save money.
